Cedar Visits

This past weekend my brother Jeremy and my niece Presley came down to stay with us. We had way to much fun! They got here on friday around 6 and we BBQ'd hamburgers and hotdogs. After dinner we went outside and played for a while. Presley is sooo much fun to play around with and oh man is she quick! haha. After playing for a while we went to Maggie Moos and got some ice cream and stayed up and talked for a while. Saturday was busy. We got up pretty early and the boys went to cross fit to work out. I laid Brynlee down for a nap then ran around outside with Presley. After the boys got home we went swimming then came home for lunch. After the girls naps we got ready and headed over the the Groovefest going on at the park. We were a little nervous and curious as to what goes on at a Groovefest but it was pretty fun. They had tons of blowup things that Presley played on. We also walked around and looked at all the fun things people were selling. After that we headed up the canyon and went to Rusty's for dinner. It was soooo yummy!!! After dinner we headed up to Cedar Breaks to see what is was all about and it was beautiful. We couldn't believe we hadn't been up there before and we live so close to it. We will definitely be going up there more!! Then we came home, made brownies and played outside. Then on Sunday we went to breakfast and watched a movie before they had to leave. It was such a fun weekend and i am so glad that we got to spend time with them! I was sad when they left! Chris and I love when family come to stay with us instead of us driving up there all the time but we love family so we don't mind :) We talked about going to Zions so hopefully they will come back down soon and we can go on some more adventures!!

Father Day

For fathers day Brynlee and I got Chris a new pair of Oakley sunglasses that he has been wanting but i gave them to him before our Omaha trip as an early Fathers Day gift. So we got him a card and gave it to him this morning and reminded him that the sunglasses were for Fathers day so he didn't feel gipped by us :). It was a fun daddy day. We woke up and i made Chris breakfast then we just hung out. For dinner we had steak, grilled shrimp, potatoes, corn and homemade rolls. It was sooooo good!! And for desert he wanted the boxed brownies so as i type, they are baking and smell delicious! It was such a fun day and Chris deserved every bit of it. For a first time dad he has been amazing. He is always here when i need his help with Brynlee and loves to take care of her. I love watching those two play together. He always knows how to make her laugh. He is such a wonderful and husband and daddy. Brynlee and I couldn't ask for a better man to be in our lives. WE LOVE YOU!
Also on the subject of Fathers Day, i just wanted to say how much i love my dad and thank him for everything he has done for me. He has been there through all of the hard times in my life. He is an amazing dad and an amazing grandpa to Brynlee. He is so cute with her and she just adores him. I swear, every time he holds her she has a permanent smile on her face. Thanks for all you do daddy. I love you!
I also want to wish Craig, my father in-law, a happy Fathers Day. He is such an awesome guy and does all he can for his kids. He is also an amazing grandpa to Brynlee. We are so lucky to have him in our lives. Thanks for all you do. We love you! :)

TEETH!!

Brynlee has finally gotten her two bottom teeth! One of them is almost all the way out and the other just started to poke through. I can't believe my little baby is getting teeth already. I can't wait till she gets more teeth and i can feed her cheerios and her little puff treats. I have been trying to get a picture of her teeth so when i finally get her to let me i will post it!

6 months!!!

WOW, the past 6 months have flown by and my little girl is now half way to 1 year old! Brynlee had her 6 month appointment last wednesday and she is now 18.4 lbs, 25.5 inches, 86% is weight and 35% in height so needless to say she is short and fat but oh sooooo cute! Looking back on the past 6 months, i can not believe how much she has changed. She went from cuddling with me in bed to not wanting to lay down and be still. She used to lay on the floor and sometimes fall asleep and now she only wants to sit up and play with toys. She used to make little sweet coos, now she screams, spits and says "gaga" constantly. She is such a fun baby and already has soooo much personality! Everyday Chris tells me how much me and Brynlee are alike. I loved when she was a sweet little newborn but i honestly love the age she is at now and i can't wait till she gets older and an talk and walk (i know i won't be saying that when she is actually talking and walking/running away from me) but right now its sounds so fun! I love her to death and can't wait to see her personality grow even more! :)

Brynlee's Baby Book

I have never thought of myself as the crafty type with tons of fabulous ideas. So when i decided it was time to start workin on Brynlee's baby book, i got worried. I tried to sort out my ideas and things i needed to get before i started this huge adventure. I picked all the pictures i wanted (of course i forgot a few i wanted) and started getting some cute ideas for what papers to get. As i stood in the paper isle at JoAnnes, ideas starting to come to me. However, i didn't get to excited because i knew that the ideas in my head probably wouldn't look the same when i started putting everything together. Knowing that this most likely wouldn't turn out as cute as i had imagined, i had soooooo much fun picking out cute paper and getting really cute stickers and things to put with her pictures. I have only done a few pages and still haven't finished them quit yet and there are still holidays and more pics i want to add as Brynlee keeps growing. My plan is to have this baby book be her "First Year Book" so we still have some fun adventures to include. Im hoping i can have it all done before her First Birthday (excluding birthday party pics) so i can show her and share it with our family. I hope that one day when she is older, she will enjoy this book and be able to look back at pictures of us and her. I can't wait to finish this and i will post pics of some of it when i am finished! Wish me luck!!! :)

OMAHA

Chris's brother Jimmy and his wife Chelsey moved to Omaha about 2 years ago and we have wanted to go visit them for a while. We had planned for last summer but i was prego and very sick so we weren't able to make it out there so we decided that this summer would be perfect. We went out there for a week at the end of May and it was SO much fun. We got there on Wednesday night and they picked us up and we went to this really good restaurant. Then we just went back to their apartment and hung out. Oh and their apartment is so nice and huge. I was in shock and a little jealous hahaha. The next day we got up and hung out then went to the this AMAZING sushi place for lunch. It was all you can eat for only 13 bucks. That sound a little sketchy but they make it fresh and it was so good. Before that, Chris had only had a california roll and couple other ones so i didn't know if he would like it but he LOVED it. I was so happy he loved it cause now he can take me out for sushi more often!!! After lunch we went to the mall and shopped till we dropped. Then on Friday we got up early and went to the Zoo. The zoo there is awesome. The exhibits were amazing and we had a ton of fun. After the Zoo we went to California Tacos. We saw it on the show Diners, Drive Ins and Dives so we had to tell to try it when they moved out there and it was amazing. I wish we had one in Utah cause i would literally eat there every week. Later that night me and Chels went to Wicked. We saw the show in L.A. a few years ago and it was really good so we were both wondering if this would live up to our exspectations and it did. The singers were amazing. The staging wasn't as good but it was good for Omaha!. Then on Saturday, the boys went golfing and we took the girls out to lunch and shopping. After shopping, we met the boys at Wing Nuts. I love wings and anything hot so i was super excited. We all ordered the Hot wings and everyone was dying but me of course haha. Chris was crying, chelsey was sweating and Jimmy was doing all the above! It was hilarious watching them. Sunday was just a relaxing day. We just hung out at the house, ate amazing homemade bbq pizza and went on a walk. On monday we went to the pool and laid out then had a really good dinner for memorial day. Chelsey made the most amazing ribs i have ever had with garlic potatoes, fruit and homemade quac and chips. It was soooo yummy!!! All day Chris had been talking about that sushi place and how he wanted to go back there so we all decided to go back on tuesday for our last day. Plus we had to take advantage of the all you can eat sushi for 13 bucks on more time!! So the next day, i got up early and started packing up then we went to lunch, came back and packed up the car and went to a huge bridge they had where Nebraska and Iowa split. It was really cool! We had such a good time out there and it was nice to spend time with Jimmy, Chelsey and Bree. I hope we can go out there again or where ever they move next!!!

Mothers Day

We went up to Salt Lake the day Chris graduated because we were babysitting for Chris's parents while they went to Hawaii so we were up there for Mothers Day. I had been hinting to him that i wanted something with Brynlee's birthstone on it but everything was pretty spendy so i didn't think i would get anything like that. So like a week before mothers day, chris mentioned that he got me something and kept rubbing it in. As he was rubbing it in, i looked on my email and there was an ad for 60% off all jewelry at Kays. I had to show him and give him a hint again even though he had already gotten me something. And before i knew it, he was on the phone with Kay trying to get something discounted that he had already boughten. I was soooo excited because i knew it was something with Brynlee's birthstone but i didn't know what. I could hardly stand waiting and chris wanted to give it to me early but i wouldn't let him. I wanted to be surprised on mothers day. So that morning, we woke up and he hurried and got up and grabbed my gift. I opened the box and in it was a gorgeous necklace with Brynlee's birthstone. I was sooo excited and a little emotional. It only got worse when i opened the card and inside was Brynlee's hand print for her signature. It was the cutest thing i had ever seen. Then after all the excitment, i wanted to go to breakfast. So me, chris and brynlee went to Ihop and it was delicious as always. After breakfast we went up to my mom's grave but it was pouring rain so we couldn't stay long. Then we had a little party at my parents house then went to Chris's parents for another dinner. It was such a wonderful first mothers day ever. Chris spoiled me and i love him for everything he does for me.

GRADUATION

I haven't had much time to blog lately so now i am going to try and catch up on everything we have done. Chris graduated in May with his bachelors in Accounting. He was officially done in December but walked after spring semester. I was SO excited to see him walk and get his diploma. His family and my family came down to Cedar to watch him so i decided to throw him a fun little graduation party. I got up super early and made a layered cake, cupcakes and rice crispy treats then decorated our apartment. I also got him some Ed Hardy cologne and 2 T-shirts he has been wanting and he loved them all. It was so fun to have our families come down here to Chris walk and join us in our little celebratory party!! I was such a proud wife watching him get his diploma. He has worked very hard and i am so proud of him and his accomplishments. However, for most people, graduating means leaving the small town of Cedar and embarking on a whole new adventure. Well....not for us. Chris is still enrolled in school and working on getting his masters in Accounting. Watching him graduate was so excited but it also felt like a tease because we are still stuck here till next summer. We are both looking forward to what the future holds and where life will take us!! :)
